As part of my ongoing art work, I focused on a photo of a dandelion I had taken for my earlier work. I was particularly interested in the delicacy and intricacy of the lines and the soft textures in the image.
I edited the colours and then explored a number of different over painting and blending / smudging techniques. I was interested in exploring line but also in transforming and abstracting the image in such a way as the inspiration was still evident. Here are some of my explorations:
