Sunrise

I painted this sunrise today by transforming the photo of weeds outside a rundown door:




I first cropped the image in order to focus on some interesting shapes:




I then explored and developed the image in a range of ways:



















I was not satisfied with the colour or the texture of the landscape to I continued to explore the image using colour filters and light effects. I also rotated the image 180°:
